Me

Hi! My name is Allison. I love gardening – especially starting plants from seed, cooking – particularly veggies from the garden, listening to podcasts– currently enjoying A Way with Words, , and Pulling The Thread, listening to dharma talks by Tara Brach and Mark Nunberg, taking walks in nature, meditating, watching PBS and reading historical novels and memoirs. I’m currently reading The Buddha’s Wife by Janet Surrey and Samuel Shem as well as Constructing A Nervous System by Margo Jefferson.

In my professional life, I help people struggling with the destabilizing impacts of both recent traumatic events and adverse experiences from childhood to mend and heal. Areas of specialization include medical trauma, developmental trauma (prolonged and chronic during childhood and adolescence) and single incident trauma such as sexual assault or a car accident.
